Very tiny, mean tiny place, so it doesn't take a lot of people to fill up. They were very accommodating for us. When we went, they only had a 2 top, but made it a 3 top for us. Service was really good. They made sure we were taken care of. Pretty solid Mexican food. Nothing was overly amazing, but good. Thought with the name Soup in their name they would have a few more options than they had, but my wife and I both got a cup. The soup, I think, is more of the star of the joint. We were both pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were and hit the spot on a cold night. Would definitely come back and eat here again.

This restaurant is a treasure. I had a vegetarian chimichanga that had grilled veggies inside, homemade guacamole on top, and was accompanied by the tastiest rice and homemade beans I have had in a long time. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu was full of excellent choices--it was hard to decide what to order. The location is right in downtown Fredericksburg, but we did not have trouble finding a parking spot nearby.

We enjoyed a nice lunch here. The Tacos & the soup were great as were the burrito, guacamole, salsa, chips & coffee. I have had better Chili Rellenos though and that’s the only thing I would avoid. I do look forward to returning and trying some other menu items

The atmosphere of the place was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall positive vibe. 🤗✨ Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the carne asada tacos. 🌟🌮 They were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying them! A great local spot in Downtown Fredericksburg serving hot, fresh Mexican and Latin American food. We've been several times and then we ask why we waited so long in between visits. We started with the Tamales de Elote which is this absolutely delicious hot corn mashed in a tamale served with cream sauce. It's salty, sweet, hot and perfect. Today was Pupusa Day and I tried three of them, cheese, cheese and refried beans and spinach and cheese. All were super filling and served with slaw and sauce on the side. They have a lot of great vegetarian options here. My boyfriend had steak tacos and a chicken taco, all looked very fresh and stacked with lettuce and pico. We were both filled to the gills and for under $35 for both of us, including tip, felt like a good value.

Taco Tuesday special is a great deal! Tacos were pretty good. Chorizo had the perfect amount of heat. Carnitas meat was good and juicy, not over cooked. Shredded beef taco was fine. The carnitas and shredded beef needed a lot more flavor. Chips and salsa were meh. Chips were so stale I didn’t eat them. Pretty sure they save the chips leftover from previous customers. I worked at a Mexican restaurant back home and they would do this. I put my straw wrapper in the chip basket to test it out. Server took the wrapper out of the basket at the table before taking the chip basket to the back. Interesting…

My husband and I came in for lunch. No wait to get seated with waters and chips. I got the carnitas tacos, he got the steak burrito and the tamales de elote. We shared everything and I think it was honestly the perfect choices from the menu, the tamales taste like corn bread and are sweet and light. Affordable and tasty!!
